Melanie Lighty serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Knox for Philly, Tom Knox's 2007 Philadelphia mayoral campaign. She is responsible for the day to day management of investments, banking and budgeting for the multi-million dollar campaign. Prior to Knox for Philly she was a licensed advisor with Merrill Lynch.

Melanie is a graduate of Mansfield University where she received her B.S. in Communication and Business. She is series 7 & 63 licensed. She has a long history of community involvement, including Mocking Bird Riders, Philadelphia Cares, Adopt a Highway and Habitat for Humanity. Melanie has been involved in the arts since she was a child and work for her family's art gallery in York, PA through high school and college.
