A 1984 Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) graduate from The University of the Arts, Kim joined The Philadelphia Dance Company/Philadanco - January 1981 where she went on to become soloist/principal dancer and Assistant Artistic Director for nineteen years. Kim was a 1992 recipient of a "BESSIE" Award, (The New York Dance and Performance Award), had a featured article in the April 1993 issue of ‘Dance Magazine’, and appeared in Toni Morrison’s film “Beloved”. Currently Kim serves as a full-time Assistant Professor of Dance/Modern Department at the University of the Arts, Assistant Artistic Director/PHILADANCO and continues instructing workshops, residencies and master classes across the globe.
Kim will be teaching Horton modern during the August sessions of The Rebecca Davis Dance Company’s Dance-Theater Intensive.
