THREE TRAINING PROGRAMS Announced for 2009-2010
The Rebecca Davis Dance Company is excited to announce its schedule for the upcoming academic year. In addition to the flagship five-day, auditioned pre-professional training program, The Company will also be offering a Beginner Ballet class and 8-11 year olds program. 
Two-Day ProgramThe two-day training program (PPT) is designed for students with dance experience between the ages of 12-18 years. Students in this program study Vaganova (Russian) ballet and learn contemporary choreography. Students are admitted by audition only. The audition will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 12:00pm at the Company's South Philadelphia studio: 1802 South Broad Street. Please email events@rebeccadavisdance.com to register by August 21st. Schedule: Wednesday - Ballet: 4:30 to 6:30pm
Cost: $200 per month ($11/hour) 
Ballet/Jazz/Modern for 8-11 Year OldsThis fall, the Company is expanding to offer a program for 8-11 year olds. Company dancers will be teaching a modern/jazz class on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00pm and a ballet class on Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00am. Students from this program will be prepared to enter the pre-professional training program if they choose to pursue a more rigorous schedule in the future. Cost: $100/month ($10/hour) 
Beginner Ballet for All AgesThe Beginner Ballet class is taught by Rebecca Davis and Company Dancers. The class puts emphasis on anatomical explanations and the use of ballet terminology. Classes are offered on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Students of all ages, backgrounds and levels are welcome to attend these classes on a monthly basis.
