Rebecca Davis Dance Company

2009/2010 RDDC Training Brochure

The official training program of the Rebecca Davis Dance Company integrates intensive training in and performance of multiple genres of dance with an understanding of history, literature, and social issues.

At Rebecca Davis Dance, students of all levels are trained in ballet, modern, jazz, choreography, and anatomy in an environment that respects students' academic needs and helps them to achieve an artistic, technical, kinesthetic, and intellectual level of merit.

The program not only develops children into well-rounded dancers, but also into thoughtful, articulate members of society. It prepares students for the demands and requirements of professional artists pursuing 21st century careers in the performing arts.

Faculty includes Artistic Director Rebecca Davis and members of the Rebecca Davis Dance Company Sergey Pakharev, Jillian Mitchell, Matthew Thomas, and Cedric Greene.

Pre-Professional Training (PPT) Programs

Goal
The goal of the pre-professional training program is to teach technical skills to students between the ages of 12 to 18 years while developing a deeper intellectual understanding of the arts in society. The program adopts a rigorous technical and educational approach in order to equip students with competitive skill sets that enhance their future career prospects in the performing arts field.

Note that the Pre-Professional Training Program is scheduled after school and does not serve as an academic program.
