The Rebecca Davis Dance Company was incorporated in December 2004, and received 501c3 tax-exempt status in December 2005. It is run by a Board of Trustees and Advisors committed to retaining local talent and positioning Philadelphia as one of the country's premiere dance centers.

The Rebecca Davis Dance Company is dedicated to educating youth in the physical techniques of various dance disciplines while building sensitivity to literary works, historical events, and social issues through public performances of dance-theater.
